The location was the new Local 16 Union hall in Benicia, California. The lunch was sponsored by the Union's trust administrators, Associated Third Party Administrators, (ATPA), formerly Glen Slaughter & Associates, headquartered in Alameda, California. Also in attendance were representatives of Kaiser Permanente, several lawfirms and many other guests. The lunch had the usual beginning, in that a host bar had been set up in the apprentice shop area. Then there came a time when the air was full of speeches (and vice versa) followed by introductions of various participants. The absolute highlight was, no doubt, the luncheon itself, which was catered by Local 16 member and owner of Zio Fraedo's Restaurant in Vallejo, Tony Loforte. This is why I put Tony's and his wife's pictures right at the beginning.
